Looking for a new dressing for an easy switch up on pasta salad...?

My mom always made pasta salad with rotini, tomatoes, monterey cheese, peppers, green onions, maybe some leftover chicken, and any other veggies she had on hand. But then she tossed it with prepared Italian salad dressing. I HATE Italian dressing, but love the combination of the veggies and rotini. Does anyone have a dressing alternative for a salad like this? I think what I don't like is the vinegar-y taste. That's what I'm trying to avoid. I don't like my face to pucker while eating my lunch :)
