Just Had A Super Awkward First Kiss! Help?

So we were at a movie night at my boyfriends new house that they just moved into with like nine other friends and after cuddling together for the whole movie i had to leave. so he got up to get my coat and came back and handed it to me and then went in for what i thought was a hug but he thought it was a kiss and he awkwardly kissed my cheek haha and then tried again and actually found my lips... but i was still thinking "wow a first kiss" and just "puckered up" so it was even more awkward!! Ugh wow any tips or advice? What will he expect next time?
